Welcome to the Official Web Page of:
The Henderson Track and Field Invitational

2007 results are now posted.

Dear Discus and Javelin Throwers and Coaches,

We apologize for the throw situation.  We did not expect the throws to take that long.  We will do something to remedy that situation next year.  Good luck with the rest of your season.

The Henderson Track and Field Invitational is back! The second annual event will be held on May 4, 2007 at 3:30 and will bring fast races, great competition, and local involvement to one the area's premier high school track and field programs. With all new facilities and in the heart of West Chester, Henderson High School is a great place to race! Check out this site for more information and feel free to contact meet coordinators Tim Shea or Jackie Merrick or advisor Kevin Kelly with interest or to enter. See you there!

General Information

  • Tickets for spectators will be $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students with ID.
  • The spectator entrance will be located next to the visitor side bleachers, yet spectators will be asked to sit in the home side bleachers or view around the fence surrounding the track itself.
  • As the meet approaches look for more information around West Chester, in local publications, on Penn Track, and through updates to this site.

Participant Information

  • Both track events and field events will start at 3:30. Coaches meeting will be held at 3:00 sharp.
  • Participating teams will be directed to set up tents around the facility (not around the throws field) or to situate themselves in the away side bleachers as space allows. Please condense your teams to save space!
  • Quarter inch pyramid spikes will be allowed for all running and jumping events.
  • Starting heights for the high jump and pole vault will be determined at the coaches meeting.
  • The javelin will be contested on the Schram's Soccer Complex across the street from the school.
  • NFHS Rules Apply for uniforms, etc.
  • The meet is sanctioned by the NFHS.
  • This years meet will be organized through DirectAthletics. Meet entries will be open until May 2nd, 2007 at 9pm. Visit the entry page here.
  • Attention coaches:  There will be no meet day additions to the meet. When you arrive at the meet, the performance lists will be on the clerking table. Please scratch any athletes who will not be competing.
  • There will be a limit of two individual entries per school in open events and one relay entry per school in relay events. However, anyone who is capable of running District 1 AAA qualifying standards (Boys/Girls) will be allowed to enter as an additional entry. (For example, if you have four athletes who can run the district qualifying time in the 800 meters, all four may be entered. However, no one slower than the standard may be entered from your school in the event.)
  • There will be unlimited entries per school in the novice 1600 meter run, however, there will only be one heat of boys and one heat of girls.
  • Medals will be awarded to the top 6 finishers or relay teams in each event.
  • The meet will be FAT timed.
  • There will be a Certified Athletic Trainer at the meet, Henderson high school's own Brian McCloskey.
  • Visit the entry information page for more details.
